Since 1930, the Summit Police Department has continuously served the local community.

Police Chief Position

The Village of Summit will be accepting applications for fill the position of Police Chief starting on Wednesday April 24, 2013 until Friday May 10, 2013 at 3:00 PM.  To apply please use Law Enforcement Standards Board from 303 along with a cover letter and resume.  All applications must be submited to Village Administrator Henry Elling at 2911 N Dousman Rd. Address Posting

Village ordinance requires that town-approved address placards be posted at the roadway for all buildings in the Village of Summit. More importantly, if you have your address clearly posted at the roadway it is easier for emergency vehicles to find your house when called. There is nothing more frustrating for all involved than officers having to drive back and forth on a road and guess which house is the one that is calling.
