Emergency Slow-No-Wake
The emergency Slow-No-Wake is in effect on Lower Nashotah Lake, Upper Nemahbin Lake, Lower Nemahbin Lake and Crooked Lake due to high water.
Boating season is upon us!!
Please follow DNR boating regulations while enjoying the lakes in the Village of Summit. We are in full swing with boat patrol to monitor the lakes and assure a safe boating season. If you have questions regarding boating regulation contact the DNR or the Village of Summit Police Department regarding lake specific regulations. Many lakes have Slow-No-Wake periods in effect on weekends and holidays. See our ordinance link for details and again on behalf of the Summit Police department Enjoy the summer and safe boating!
Vehicles on lakes during winter
No vehicles are allowed on any lake in the Village of Summit with the exception that snowmobiles and ATVs are allowed on Golden Lake.
Winter Parking Restrictions in effect November 1 to April 1
Please be advised that on all Village roads there is No Parking on Vilalge right of way from November 1st through April 1st regardless of weather conditions.
Address Posting
Village ordinance requires that town-approved address placards be posted at the roadway for all buildings in the Village of Summit. More importantly, if you have your address clearly posted at the roadway it is easier for emergency vehicles to find your house when called. There is nothing more frustrating for all involved than officers having to drive back and forth on a road and guess which house is the one that is calling.
